Jillian Wasson, PhD

I want to tell you a little about me – my approach to treatment, and my credentials.

I will work with you to help you increase self and relational awareness, process emotions, and develop increased confidence. My practice focuses on building on your strengths and values. I will challenge, support, and join you as you work examine your internal and external world.

My goal for therapy is always that you will no longer need to come to see me. I utilize a collaborative approach and believe you are the expert on you. I have training and experience working with a wide range of problems, but you know yourself better than anyone.

I believe positive change is a process, one that takes transparency and authenticity within the therapeutic relationships. I am dedicated to walking with you through whatever is keeping you stuck. In addition to building on strengths and values we will explore difficult fear, doubt, shame, guilt, and interpersonal conflicts.

There are several evidence-based approaches to therapy. I am primarily interpersonal in my approach to therapy. I commonly integrate cognitive-behavioral, solutions focused and family systems treatments into my work.
