Life is unexpected and sometimes we struggle with finding our path. My goal in therapy is to work with my clients on being comfortable with vulnerability. I believe that consciously choosing to not hide your emotions or desires from others is key to healing and growth.
In therapy I learn about and help my clients’ use their unique strengths to help them resolve current conflicts. My focus is primarily assisting women experiencing depression and anxiety, but I also take male clients. I use cognitive-behavioral strategies paired with positive psychology and psychodynamic techniques. I strive to create a safe space for my clients to explore how to be vulnerable, face challenges, and guide them in their personal growth. I am sensitive to contextual factors (gender, race, culture, class, age), and keep those details in mind while creating atherapeutic relationship.
I am not currently accepting insurance, but I can work on a sliding scale and have payments sent to an insurer for possible reimbursement. I have times available for both in person and telehealth appointments, including some evening hours.
I’ve worked with a variety of populations, from children and adolescents to adults and elderly; individuals, families, and couples; those struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, grief, and psychosis.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my masters in Counseling Psychology from Avila University. My training included a holistic understanding of helping and understanding individuals. I completed my undergraduate studies at Northern Arizona University.
