When I work with individuals in therapy, I focus on helping increase self-awareness and confidence. Whether we are working on learning to process emotions or focusing on your individual strengths and how to utilize them on a daily basis. I am here to be a support but also challenge you to become the best you, and to accomplish the goals we set during the process. Overall, my goal is for you to learn the skills needed so you do not need to continue seeing me on a regular basis.
I think diversity is important and have experience working with many presenting concerns. I do however have a clinical focus in treating “Women’s Issues” and new moms struggling with depression and anxiety. Other areas of concern I frequently work with are listed here.
I offer individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. For more information about services click here or ask!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Saint Mary. I completed my Masters Internship at ReDiscover, a community mental health center.
I have worked in a partial hospitalization program running psycho-educational groups and doing individual therapy. I am also currently in an inpatient psychiatric hospitalization where we focus on both mental health and substance use disorders. In this position I work in the assessment department to help determine the best level of care for our patients.
I am a sister, daughter and dog mom. I grew up in the state of Iowa, where my family still lives. Iowa will always be “home” but I have grown very fond of Kansas City life.
I enjoy a fresh snowfall and being able to see the sun reflecting off the snow. One day I would love to be able to learn to snow ski. I enjoy being outdoors and spending time at the dog park with my puppy.
